Aufs pool not showing in management console but is still working

  • Hi,

    I have a strange issue, I had an aufs pool setup a while ago via the plugin, and now it's not showing in the administration console.
    When I try to output the support xml aufs info, it shows up empty too.

    Everything is still working fine, the share works as it should and so does everything else.
    Any help would be appreciated, since I have no idea where to start and don't want to mess up something that kinda works.

    Thanks !

    edit: I checked my config.xml, and all I have there is an opening aufs tag, with no closing tag ?(

    Code
    <aufs/>

    Did you install the unionfilesystems plugin? What is the output of:

    cat /etc/fstab

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

  • I did not install that plugin.

    I guess it could have something to do with the remoteshare plugin ? I added a share from another NAS recently, now that I think about it the problem could come from there ?

    Thanks for your help !

    The remote share plugin wouldn't remove the aufs config. What is the output of:

    dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    And there is no pool setup in the aufs plugin? How did it get deleted? Did you restore an old config.xml? You should be able to recreate the pool using the plugin.

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    aufs runs on top of the filesystem. So, it doesn't change anything. You should always have a backup but configuring a pool is very low risk.

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel
