VirtualBox: Could not connect to host: 127.0.0.1:18083

Hi All,

Having same error of a similar VirtualBox Error thread..."Could not Connect to Host 127.0.0.1:18083"

Followed guidance concerning recompiling kernel with

Code

/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup

and got back

Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules ...failed!
  (Cannot unload module vboxdrv)

Let me know what further I can provide. Thanks in advance.

nothing...just returns a prompt

apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
dpkg-reconfigure virtualbox-dkms
modprobe vboxdrv

Then reboot and see if it works.

hmmm...this could be a clue...

Hmmm... Does it still output the info when you click on the button in OMV Extras. Click on the button again to install.

Edit: Sorry, button it on the plugin I believe. I don't have a vm to look at right now.

No change, but just to clarify, you were not asking me to uninstall and reinstall the plugin, correct?

No, to reinstall the driver. There is a button to do it.

Oh ok...that button in the plugin is "Fix module for backport kernels"

That was @ryecoaaron first suggestion this morning. I just did it again and here is the output.

I would uninstall all four of those packages and reinstall.
