  • Hi All,

Having same error of a similar VirtualBox Error thread..."Could not Connect to Host 127.0.0.1:18083"

Followed guidance concerning recompiling kernel with

    Code
    /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup

    and got back

    Code
    Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules ...failed!
      (Cannot unload module vboxdrv)

Let me know what further I can provide. Thanks in advance.

  • Same error. This is the detail

  • Hmmm... Does it still output the info when you click on the button in OMV Extras. Click on the button again to install.

Edit: Sorry, button it on the plugin I believe. I don't have a vm to look at right now.

  • Oh ok...that button in the plugin is "Fix module for backport kernels"

That was @ryecoaaron first suggestion this morning. I just did it again and here is the output.

I would uninstall all four of those packages and reinstall.

    Code
    apt-get purge openmediavault-virtualbox phpvirtualbox virtualbox-4.3 virtualbox-extpack-installer
    rm -f /etc/default/openmediavault-virtualbox
    rm -f /etc/default/virtualbox
    userdel vbox
    groupdel vboxusers
