weird SET environment in OMV

  • Hey all,

I stumbled across a weird set of SET environment on my OMV.

    It starts with:

    Okay, so far so good.

Now the weird staff starts ... I am really scared of having code in my SET environment in root context.. that is not good. Anyone could explain why it is there by intention?

The SET variable contains 4185 lines of stuff and 116kbyte of data. Awesome that this is working. It was never developed to handle such a large collection of variables

Cut, as this is not fitting into the forum software

None of mine are more than about 20 lines. What have you installed lately?

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

  • Okay it is from

    /usr/share/bash-completion/bash-completion

I am not sure what it is and why it is there ... but it looks like it came with the Wheezy installation ... I did not use the krazileg image at that time, I installed from debian and put OMV on top of it (if I remember right).

    Anyone can confirm that?

When I try to deinstall ... it looks like it came with the plugins. If I try to uninstall, it want to remove the following packages...

    Code
    Die folgenden Pakete werden ENTFERNT:
      bash-completion openmediavault openmediavault-backup
      openmediavault-couchpotato openmediavault-lvm2 openmediavault-mysql
      openmediavault-nginx openmediavault-omvextrasorg openmediavault-sabnzbd
      openmediavault-sensors openmediavault-sickbeard
      openmediavault-transmissionbt

Should I reinstall with Image perhaps?

Hmm ... there is even stuff from OMV in there ...

That does not look if I could deinstall it...
