Can no longer login to the webGUI

  • I can no longer login to the webGUI. When trying to use the admin account, I get the software error incorrect username or password even though I know I am using the correct credentials.

When I try updating the password in using CLI, this is the error I get

The passwd file is locked for some reason. Reboot and try omv-firstaid again. If it doesn't work, try resetting the password with: passwd admin

  • I think my install may be hosed. When I reboot, all I get now is a kernel panic. OMV will not load up.

Looks like the OS drive might be starting to fail.

  • Thanks,

I'll see if I can replace the drive when I get home. Hopefully I don't have any corruption and can save my volumes.

It shouldn't affect any data drives.
