Does it return to a high load after rebooting? Is there any errors in the logs in the System Logs tab?

  • I've just started experiencing this from 9am this morning. Machine was up for 2 months no problem. I have raid10 with 4x 2TB Seagate Constellation ES3 disks. Top command shows CPU at 195% on rrdcached. I'm using a Intel I5 processor with 8GB ram. I thought it was an overkill using this config but it seems it's not enough. OMV version is 2.1.9.

  • I just discovered this same issue on my config

    2275 root 20 0 267m 2044 856 S 99.5 0.0 27358:30 rrdcached

    version 2.2.14

Was this ever solved good or people just kill the process, i see notes that it came back for some members after a while, but i do not read any permanent solution?

  • Hello,

I face the same problem, the high cpu load cause by rrdcached.
    /var/log/daemon.log shows:

Does anybody have a clue about this?
    Could be this bug:
    https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/1948
    Meanwile, I killed the process.
The effect is, that the graph about CPU load etc. are not updated anymore, a pity but better then 100% CPU load.
Could I uninstall this tool completely?

    Regards, Tomte
