Hi there,
again, a SAMBA problem...
After reinstalling my OMV due to (data) HHD problems I now have the trouble that 2 of my 3 users can't access their samba shared folders. This was tested with two smartphones using ES File Explorer and my Raspberry 2 running with OpenElec.
I have three users (my wife, Kodi and me), all three shall have different rights to different folders. So I first created my account followed by the others. I have no problems connecting to my folders (in Ubuntu as well using my smartphone) according to my rights. But neither my wife nor Kodi can access theirs. As far as I can overlook all the settings everything SHOULD work...
After discovering this thread: Samba Share Types in OMV I renewed their passwords in CLI using
but still no success.
Here is my smb.conf concerning folder "Musik"as an example:
[Musik]
path = /media/010a3652-d1b4-45dd-af3a-882509cf45d9/Media/Musik/

valid users = "Rico","Ines","Obiwan","Kodi"
invalid users =
read list = "Ines","Obiwan","Kodi"
write list = "Rico"

Forget Obiwan, one of my testing accounts. Not even he was lucky
What's the matter here - any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
