Should this plugin be functioning yet?
I installed it, but when I click "Update Subsonic" it's just an empty window.
Searching the forum didn't yield any result.

Nothing new to report, still seeing nothing in the update page.
Am I missing a step?
Subsonic still is not updating.
Has anyone done a guide on the install of this plugin?
Try as root: omv-mkconf subsonic update
What update?
Subsonic has been on 5.2.1 since 04 March 2015
Do you mean you can't install subsonic?
When I tried installing the plugin, there was no subsonic. So, it said to click the update button. I did and it didn't do anything even with debuggin mode enabled. So, I ran the command manually and everything seemed to work fine.
Tried punching in "omv-mkconf subsonic update", and got no response on my machine.
When I navigate to the plugin page in the web interface I get this message:
"Failed to execute command 'omv-mkconf subsonic getsettings': /etc/openmediavault/config.xml:1.1: Document is empty
^
/etc/openmediavault/config.xml:1.1: Start tag expected, '<' not found
^
"
Ideas?
erm, what is with your OMV config?
Please give a cat /etc/openmediavault/config.xml
Okay, i punched that in as root.
I hope I'm safe posting that whole config file!
Does this give any insight?
what version of the plugin are you using?
Plugin screen says 1.0.5, but in the subsonic screen, it says that no version has been installed.
That's your problem, I have said it before that Subsonic has changed from version (x.x) to (x.x.x) this broke the plugins before version 1.0.6
You need to enable the download managers testing repo and install version 1.0.7. Once you have that, click the install/upgrade button and wait a few minutes, the window may stay blank but the close button will be greyed out, as soon as it is not you can click on it and refresh the page, Subsonic will now be installed.
I'm glad it's an identifiable problem!
I've enabled the download managers resting repo, but I'm at a loss for how to install 1.0.7.
Where should I be navigating to install that version?
It might be under 1.0.6, i'm running 1.0.7 but that might be my testing version (I can't remember) it may also be that 1.0.5 was the latest version to be packaged for omv2
Where should I be looking for that new version?
It's not in any of my lists, will I be downloading it then uploading it?
Thank you very much for all of your prompt help!
David has added Subsonic 1.0.8 to the testing repo so you should see that if you check for new plugins.
Alright, I updated, then clicked the update button in the subsonic plugin and it gave me
"The method 'doUpdateSUB' does not exist for RPC service 'Subsonic'"
So I went into root and used "omv-mkconf subsonic update"
Initially got this message "Failed to execute command 'omv-mkconf subsonic getsettings': /etc/openmediavault/config.xml:1.1: Document is empty ^ /etc/openmediavault/config.xml:1.1:"
But it appears to be running now.
Subsonic says it's running as root, can/should I change this?
Also, when i put in the path to my media file, it does not recognize it.
If you PM me with teamviewer details I can take a look at your settings if you want.
I've already got skype installed, if I can stream my screen to you with that?
Sorry I don't use Skype.
Running as root issue.
Run this cat /etc/default/subsonic and post the output.
What paths are you using in subsonic for your media, do an ls PATH for each path subsonic does not recognize.
