Can anyone point me to the new link for the PlexPass upgrade for OMV. The old link in under the Plexmedia Server tab under Setup no longer works since Plex changed to the new forums.
Thanks

There is no plex pass version anymore, correct??? I should just update the html instructions and give link to the latest upgrade on that post. We have to use that package because we are not on system d yet.
Someone let me know and I update those instructions and the link.
Thanks. I searched the new forums logged in as a Plex Pass user and could not find it.
I found it the other day I believe I bookmarked it at home. I'll post it tomorrow if I remember

Hello,
do you have found it? I'm searching for it too.
PlexPass does not exist anymore. They only put out a current version for everything. But you cannot use the Ubuntu version on OMV. You need to get a special version that is for Wheezy.
There is still a version of Plex Server for PlexPass users. For example, it is available as ver. 0.9.12.10 now while the "official" version for everybody else is still on 0.9.12.8.
The problem is that PLEX does not release for Debian. I see that Christian Svedin (gurka) keeps making Debian versions, but due to some reason this build is still on 0.9.12.8.
I see this where his link is. I think he means Wheezy here not Jessie. Jessie is using System D. I checked the link it is 9.12.6. The version he put out for us is usually behind the latest for PlexPass. Now I think it is behind the latest that everyone is using on say Ubuntu, or Jesssie, and there is no longer a PlexPass. The dropped support for the PlexPass apps too. I had them on my Android devices and the version was way behind. There was alos message saying there is only one version now.
If you are running Jessie with old sysvinit style use my packges.
PMS 0.9.12.6.1347
I upgraded my OMV 2.1.7 Plex Media Server 0.9.12.6 with the Plex Media Server - Transcoder Preview: 0.9.12.10, Ubuntu x64 package (only available to Plex Pass members).
I then replaced the newly installed /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver script with a backed up copy from the 0.9.6 Debian package.
It works fine for me and according to yakumo, one of the two people I know of who create Debian PMS packages, and who posts on the plex.tv forum:
"..... just keep the init script and the ubuntu package will work. =) It is the exact same files.
to be safe just dpkg -x pmsubuntupackge_version_arch.deb pms then copy the the files in usr to the correct place."
So far I have not noticed any problems with this specific instance of what I did.
If there are specific official from OMV reasons not to do what I did, I'd like to hear them. I already know it's not supported
Thanks.
just keep the init scrip
This is correct. But we prefer to use a package that will work out of the repo. This could cause problems for inexperienced user too even though it may seem minor to you.
Thanks.
I'm looking for an update for Plex Media Server, right now an update via OMV gives me version 0.9.12.4.
Unfortunately the new iOS update for Plex requires a minimum of version 0.9.12.5 and the current version available to download is 0.9.12.8.

Any ideas when a new version will be available? I can't connect from my iPhone now.
If you sign into plex forums and then click on this link it will give you download for 64 bit version 9.12.6
0.9.12.8 is in the repo for amd64 and i386 now. armhf was not updated for wheezy but was for jessie. So, armhf is stuck at 0.9.12.4.
Ah... Thanks Aaron.
Hi Guys, just checked my version in Plex and it's 0.9.12.4. What steps should I do to get the newest package?

Does that mean we're stuck at 0.9.12.4 for now?
