Hmm ok, i guess i could link back to the system drive with mount -bind and hide the folder for normal users. bit of forth and back but that would work.
Do you think the rest can be done with the OMV plugin?
run ProFTPD without OMV control

I think so. The extra options for general should be ok.
Please note that the extra options for share need to be indented properly (2 or 3 spaces IIRC) to fit in the conf.also look at the openmediavault environment variables all in google. They can help you change some default ftp options.
virtual users should be possible but with their share declared in the general extra options in my opinion. -
Ok i am trying.
Now i am failing to add 2 DefaultRoot entries. It seems OMV does only accept 1 entry.UPDATE: never mind i solved this by now just having 1 CHROOT

Hey thanks for the help. You were right, it can be done. I got everything running as described before.
It is just not really clear how to get the configuration in there using the OMV plugin as there is no real description for that. But after some fumbling around i got it working.
Also you have to know that OMV is really picky about tabs and spaces. -

If is related to the shares, well i guess that needs to be corrected. I requested that field last year, it worked but i never sent back the feedback about the indentation. Is documented in a guide when using HideFiles in the forum.
