What is /media/usb0 in /etc/fstab?

  • I am trying to understand what /media/usb0 is doing in the /etc/fstab. I notice it is mapped to the first partition of the next device OMV does not have a mounted filesystem for (in my case /dev/sdd1), however /dev/sdd is a physical disk that is used by LVM for iSCSI targets. My concern is that if a USB drive were to be plugged into the system, would it have an issue and cause any possible corruption on my iSCSI targets?

    Code
    /dev/sdd1 /media/usb0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
    # >>> [openmediavault]

Drives should never be mounted by /dev/sdb because the reasons you mentioned. In this case openmediavault uses uuid's to mount volumes, is always being like that, this avoids trouble when swapping the disks connection ports.
Those entries can be deleted if you don't use them, there are not part of openmediavault, my guess is your running a desktop environment in your omv server which is not recommend at all.
