Can you help me ?
I want to test the forked-daapd but i can not log on the web interface. (http://ip:3689)
I try :
login : admin
pass : unused
and i have a web page :

Forked-daapd does not support a webgui as far as i know. The username/password is only to protect the content delivered by the service (if you activate it Rythmbox is showing a login dialog for example).

Hi Volker, the strange thing is that when typing 192.168.0.16:3689 in a browser tab, I get the following message:
Le site http://192.168.0.16:3689 demande un nom d'utilisateur et un mot de passe. Le site indique : « forked-daapd web interface »
In english, this means that the DAAP daemon is asking for a login/password! but effectively, entering admin and unused gives... nothing!
If there is no admin interface, does anyone know another DAAP daemon that would be configurable and working on OMV the great??Many thanks in advance

forked-daapd does what mt-daapd does minus the web interface.

forked-daapd is forked from mt-daapd, thus the webgui part still exists (and seems to work in some way) but has been stripped down. Maybe the developer has planned to replace or improve, but as far as i know is the project not actively maintained at the moment
There does not exists any equal DAAP server to my knowledge
except a blown up full media center solution like XBMC.
