Clarification about RAID1

  • Hi guys, I want some clarification about raid1:
    1) If my SD suddently stop works, and I install OMV from the beginning in a new one, it will automatically detect the old raid1 right?
    2) If I detatch one HDD from my nas, and connect it to an other pc, it will see it like a normal HDD formatted in ext4 right?

    1 - yes

2 - no but most bootable linux distros will recognize it as a degraded array and allow you to mount it.
