OMV_DATAMODELS_DIR' does not exist

  • Hi,

    i installed omv 3.x via omv-release-upgrade.

    At the end of the installation i got a lot of error messages:

    when i try to login via webgui i get the msg

    this is the result of 'service openmediavault status'

    Any idea what to do? I am a little frustrated at the moment <X

    Thx for any help.

    Hoovercraft

  • sadly you are right. Next error msg.

    i think best way to fix my problems is to purge openmediavault and install it again.

    BUT, i am really scared to loose all my data. I used greyhole and snaprais so far. Any idea if the data will be there?
    Thankfully i got a backup of the data i really need, but loosing all the rest would be ....

    Kind regards

  • code produced a long list of 'registered data modules' etc. etc.

    And the end i got this msg:

    PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'InvalidArgumentException' with message 'The environment variable 'OMV_ENGINED_SO_OWNERGROUP_NAME' does not exist.' in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/environment.inc:47
    Stack trace:
    #0 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(413): OMV\Environment::get('OMV_ENGINED_SO_...')
    #1 {main}
    thrown in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/environment.inc on line 47

  • there is no difference between the files. I guess that the update comlete failed :S

    Is there any guide how to delete the 'old' omv and install a fresh one (didnt find one, sorry) ? I guess i can handle all my files anyhow, so i am willing to start from the beginning.

    Thx for your help so far !
