Hilfe mein Raid wird nicht mehr erkannt ;-(

  • Hallo zusammen

achso was ich bereits rausgefunden habe:
cat /proc/mdstat wirft mir folgendes aus:

    und fdisk -l

    blkid

    Hi everyone,

I've used OMV bout 2 weeks. Now my Raid filesystem has disappeared and is no longer showing in the OMV Web-GUI.
It's a RAID 5 with 5 x 2TB disks and a hot spare. The RAID did not work after adding the hot spare.
What can I do? BTW, I'm a complete linux newbie.

    Thanks in advance,

Uh, here is what I've already found out:"

show's results of a few commands......

  • Hallo zusammen bin leider immernoch nicht weiter ;(
danke an tekkbebe fürs übersetzten ;)
ich habe heute mal folgendes probiert:

    mdadm --assemble --scan

    Code
    root@storage02:~# mdadm --assemble --scan
mdadm: No suitable drives found for /dev/md/openmediavault:0

  • hello everybody. first of all sorry for my bad german english ;)
    i had a destroyed raid 5 volume

    cat /proc/mdstat told me

when i call mdadm --query --detail /dev/md0
    it gives me

    now i stop the array
and try to set the 3 missing drives sdb, sde, sdi back to the array it tolds me

    Code
    root@storage02:~# mdadm --assemble --force -v /dev/md0 /dev/sdb /dev/sde /dev/sdi
mdadm: looking for devices for /dev/md0
mdadm: /dev/sdb is identified as a member of /dev/md0, slot -1.
mdadm: /dev/sde is identified as a member of /dev/md0, slot -1.
mdadm: /dev/sdi is identified as a member of /dev/md0, slot -1.
mdadm: No suitable drives found for /dev/md0
    root@storage02:~#

    what can i do ????

You need to zero the superblock to add to a different array. Hope you don't need the data on the drive.

  • What the heck is german english? I've heard about denglisch, a common newspeak among german IT geeks.

    Zitat

the drives are from my array. 5x2TB Raid 5 and 1x2TB Hotspair. the array gone bad after placing the hotspair to the raid by the webinterface. Now it only shows 2 active devices and one hotspair. i think the power cable to the backplane was the problem. one reboot only with 4 drives :(
but what should i do now to get the raid working ?

  • datadigger

What does cat /proc/mdstat give you now? I think it has probably changed since your previous posts.
