  • PS: I m using the backport kernel:

    root@nas:/sys/firmware# uname -a
    Linux nas 4.7.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.7.8-1~bpo8+1 (2016-10-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux

  • Backports for Jessie (stable) are Stretch (testing) components. Whilst Backports for Wheezy (oldstable) are Jessie (stable) components. Now you are using the kernel of debian "testing" and as the name says: It's not stable ;) As OMV3 is ;)

Do you have serious reasons for using backports in stable/jessie?

Did you also install/reinstall/update the correct package? --> firmware-amd-graphics
    https://packages.debian.org/stretch/firmware-linux-nonfree

My suggestion: Don't try to use Debian testing branch (unstable) for testing OMV3 (unstable). If you have serious reasons for doing this, you should be a debian advanced user ;)

I run the backports kernel on every system and have never had an issue.

Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

Please put your OMV system details in your signature.
Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!

  • so, what shall i do? :)
new kernel ... better hardware support and power management ..

i ve used every time the backoports kernel ... since i use OMV.
