Where to configure the cpufreq governor?

  • Hi all,

    cpufreq-info gives the following output

meaning, my cpufreq governor is "powersave". Where in OMV is this set and how can I change this to "conservative" or "performance"?

This isn't an OMV setting. It is a Linux setting. You do realize that your RPi will change speed up to 1000MHz when it needs it? This will keep the temps down on the RPi (which doesn't have much performance anyway).

    apt-get install linux-cpupower
    cpupower frequency-set -g conservative

  • The "powersave" governor never raises the cpu frequency, even if needed - that's why I want to switch to at least "conservative".Will the setting after executing your command remain even after a reboot?

I mixed up powersave with conservative. The change should stay but I'm not sure if you need to disable power monitoring in OMV web interface.
