Upgrade failure from Stoneburner to Erasmus

  • Tried to upgrade from Stoneburner to Erasmus that error'd out. Tried both apt-get update and apt-get -f install without any success. In both cases, I get errors show below (looks like a samba error) I have searched (or tried) looking for a way to correct this without much luck (probably missing something obvious) or even trying to roll-back to Stoneburner (no luck there). I've read somewhere where a clean install is recommended but am hesitant to lose all of my data.

    Suggestions?

Remove omv-extras for now and then try again:

    apt-get purge openmediavault-omvextrasorg
    apt-get -f install

By the way, it looks like you are going from OMV 1.x to 3.x.

Odd that it appears that I'm upgrading from OMV 1.X to 3.X. I executed omv-release-upgrade which took me to OMV 2.X and it was running before I ran the upgrade script again to go from )MV 2.X to 3.X and that is when I ran into this issue.

Then your omv-extras never got upgraded.

    Try:
    omv-mkconf samba
    systemctl restart smb
    systemctl restart nmb
