installation refresh

    Hi,


    I'm currently on the latest 0.4.x release; I know it's old!! ...don't break it if it's working!


    Anyway I think it's time for a system upgrade; fancy going to 3.x. I've got a SSD for the OS and a RAID 1 for my data. Is there anything special I need to do before re-installing OMV ?
    - shutdown the system (obviously)
    - remove the RAID drives from the bay
    - reboot
    - install OMV 3.x (ISO USB install)
    - re-plug the RAID drives?
    - re-install/configure my plugins


    I think the RAID is on ext4/LVM. Do I need to do anything else to recognise the RAID drives after installation?

    Don't see anything else witch you have to do.
    Did u use a mdadm raid?


    Did the same:
    1. Remove all HDD with datas on it. Unplug SATA and HDD power cable.
    2. Install clean OMV
    3. Plug SATA and HDD power cable.
    4. Check for the RAID if it is visible
    5. Reinstall all Plugin
    6. Check if raid mountable, if yes mount it.
    7. Create all needed shares
    8. Setup all Plugins
