Can't Login in WebGui - Software Failure

Hello,

I have made a fresh OMV installation on top of Debian Jessie. I followed the instructions on Install OMV3 on Debian Jessie

After running through omv-initsystem, I started the webinterface in Firefox and tried to login with admin and the chosen password, but I got the big red message

"Software Failure

Press left mouse button to continue.
Falscher Benutzername oder Passwort."

Then I read through this forum and started omv-engined -df as root on the shell with the following output:

There are no plugins installed. Yes, php5-pam is installed, although one line above says "ImportError: No module named 'pam'".

Any hints?

Hmmm, maybe it's because you are using i386. This platform is not supported officially anymore by OMV3. What about using AMD64?

I'm sorry, but the hardware is i386, so i cannot switch to the AMD64 version of OMV 3.0.

But in the release notes https://www.openmediavault.org/?p=2131 is mentioned to follow the guide under Install OMV3 on Debian Jessie to get an i386 installation - and I have done exactly this.

So shouldn't I expect that it works when I'm following this guide, even on i386?

The platform has not been tested because it is not supported officially. The expectation is that it should work because there are no changes that should not work on i386.

please check the syslogs if there is any information why the module can not be linked added. Did you have installed any backport packages.
