Hidden Shared Folders and only viewable based on permission

  • How can i create a shared folder that is only viewable for users/groups with certain privileges ?

    Say if i have user 1, user 2, user 3, user 4

and i only want a folder available/showing on the list for user 1 and 2 BUT NOT Exist for user 3 and user 4.

I tried hide unreadable = yes in the Extra Options box and it doesn't work. Guess you could uncheck the browseable checkbox and map the drive for user 1 and 2.

Unfortunately, if you want it to be visible, it looks like you have to go to each computer. If you don't want to do that, the share will still work for user 1 and 2 even if it isn't visible (uncheck browseable). They will just have to manually type it in.
