Apt-Get Issues

  • Hey everybody,

After upgrade I completely destroyed my install - which may have been my fault and doesn't need to be discussed.

In order to fix my setup, I uninstalled OMV. After that I did the upgrade to latest stretch.

No I want to install OMV again, but I'm getting the following issues after adding the repository to sources.list.d:

    Code
    Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
W: GPG-Fehler: http://packages.openmediavault.org/public arrakis InRelease: Die folgenden Signaturen waren ungültig: 0F6BCC17C26BFADC27F221007E7A6C592EF35D13 Die folgenden Signaturen konnten nicht überprüft werden, weil ihr öffentlicher Schlüssel nicht verfügbar ist: NO_PUBKEY 24863F0C716B980B
W: The repository 'http://packages.openmediavault.org/public arrakis InRelease' is not signed.
N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

Did anybody experience those kind of issues before?

    UPDATE 22.12.297:

I now completely reinstalled because I thought that I may have corrupted some of the configs...
    However:

  • PUSH - any idea?
I think it may be some weird kind of certificate problem.
When I try to wget the release file, I get certificate errors even wir ca-certificates installed...

It seems the gpg keys aren't installed. What is the output of:

    cat /etc/apt/sources.list
    cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
    ls -al /etc/apt//etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/

    omv 7.0-32 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.5 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.9 | compose 7.0.9 | cputemp 7.0 | mergerfs 7.0.3

Keys are there. You shouldn't add trusted=yes to any repos though. What is the output of: omv-aptclean

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.9 | compose 7.0.9 | cputemp 7.0 | mergerfs 7.0.3

  • it's actually the same output...

I just tried if it makes any difference if I add trusted.
Actually I will remove this again...

    it's actually the same output...

But I wanted to see all of it.

I think you should reinstall again and get it working before adding other repos (like docker which you really should add with omv-extras since it can enable the same repo you are adding).

  • Ok... I started from scratch.

    1. Install Debian 9.2
    2. Add Openmediavault apt source
    3. install Openmediavault keyring

    1 (ignored issue so far)

    Code
    OK:11 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch Release
    Exception ignored in: <function WeakValueDictionary.__init__.<locals>.remove at 0x7fd63695b730>

Then I installed omv-extras using dpkg:

    Code
    sudo dpkg -i openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all4.deb

    After installing:

Is there a reason you don't use the OMV install ISO? Do you have a desktop environment installed?

The python error is a known error at the Debian level and should not affect anything.

Did you execute apt-get -f install after install omv-extras? It should install dirmngr.

You can go to https://dl.bintray.com/openmed…kis/dists/stretch/Release and see there is a release file. I'm not sure why your system says there isn't. It is working on all of my OMV 4.x systems.

  • The main reason was that I had a Debian 9.2 install disc available either way, so I just didn't try to use the OMV ISO installer.

There is no desktop environment installed as this is a headless machine.

I tried to use apt-get install -f but it didn't fix anything.

The strange thing is, that the sources seem to be broken even after uninstalling omv-extras.

I already tried to manually download the Release file just to see if my DNS cannot resolve the URL.

It looks like something is messed up regarding the ca-certificates after installing omvextras:

    Code
    [bbsan@omvserver ~]$ wget https://dl.bintray.com/openmediavault-plugin-developers/arrakis/dists/stretch/Release

I tried to use apt-get install -f but it didn't fix anything.

What is the output of: dpkg -l | grep -E "openm|mngr" and apt-key list

It looks like something is messed up regarding the ca-certificates after installing omvextras:

omv-extras doesn't do anything with ca-certificates. It just places armored gpg keys in /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/

Your output tells me that neither openmediavault nor omv-extras is installed. All you have installed in the openmediavault-keyring package that provides the repo key for openmediavault.

I know bintray (that hosts omv-extras packages) has issue from time to time but I'm not seeing any issues on my system. I'm not sure what is causing your issue. Maybe a firewall/proxy/something else blocking it??

  • Hmm I may have found something...

It actually looks like essentially all https repositories refuse to work...

    My sources.list:

    My sources.list.d/

    Code
    [bbsan@omvserver ~]$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault.list
    #deb http://packages.openmediavault.org/public/ arrakis main
    deb https://openmediavault.github.io/packages/ arrakis main
    # deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/openmediavault/packages/ arrakis main

When I uncomment the first line and comment the second line it works.

    Any suggestions?
