[Solved]Noob question concerning variables

Dear all,

I have a basic question about concerning a user environnement.

For security reason, I've disable SSH root access and created a user member of SSH group to conect my nas.

It works fine but I guess some variables are missing.
A lot of commands are missing, source, memory, auto completion for instance, I made a .bashrc and .bash_profile but cannot source them.

Tried also to set $PATH

PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:

Still no change.

My user is in following groups:

users; root; adm; sudo; dip; plugdev; ssh; lpadmin

oops I thought it was /bin/bash but in fact it was /bin/dash ...... fixed now thanks
