    • Drive too big

Setup went smoothly and I was able to mount small drives. The problem is a big drive. I have a lacie 4big with 4x8TB drives inside. When I’m at my desk, it mounts as a single drive, though it is raid 5.

When trying to use this with OMV i get a ‘drive too big’ ‘unable to mount” warning. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

      Thanks in Advance,
      J
    • Looking at this 'from outside the box' you're trying to mount a 24TB drive, I think that would be the problem, my guess is you have set this up for Windows or Mac use as per the Lacie website. The Lacie website has no information regrading the use of the 4big Quadra with linux.

This would probably work with OMV if the drives were individual or Raid 0/1.
Raid is not a backup! Would you go skydiving without a parachute?
    • Are you using 32 or 64bit?

      I must not fear.
      Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
      I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
      Only I will remain.
