Try to clear the cache using omv-firstaid.
-
I tried but did not fix the problem.
-
Did that happen everytime when you open dialog somewhere in the UI, e.g. SMB shares, network interfaces, ...?
-
-
Yes, it always happens when I press a button on the right that involves opening another window.
Only windows that do not involve user intervention are opened.
For example, in "Update management" if I press "Check" opens the "Please wait ..." window but if I click "Upgrade" or "Update" nothing happens ...And error is always "md5 is not defined"

Unfortunately, nothing has changed.

Please give omv-firstaid a second try and clear the webui cache. The issue seems only occur on your system (there are no more user comments on that and i'm not able to reproduce it), so i'm out of ideas if clearing the cache does not help.

I clear again the cache but don't work.
In the source of the page does not appear md5.min.js .
I have several openmediavault installations but only on this server this problem is happening. -
-
I find that controlpanelabstract.inc is different from the other servers.
js/md5.min.js is missing from file.
I use:
Unofficial OMV Theme Changer tool, css themes and UI manipulationand I restored an older backup made by the script.
I do not see anything else that could have modified the controlpanelabstract.inc file.

Here's the important line: https://github.com/openmediava…rolpanelabstract.inc#L139

Yes, I put it back already and the problem has been solved.
To conclude: Be careful when using "unofficial" tools.
Thank you,

Thank you,
GeoCould not agree more, use this on your own risk said it many times but, may I know what version of the tool you are using ?
Because in the latest version which is v3.0.0 released I think a month ago or more, the reason I say this is because I fixed this problem. (https://github.com/virgil-av/o…tions/themes-functions.sh)
The theme changing mechanism changed before I was backing up the file (controlpanelabstract.inc) and restoring it, as of v3 the only reason I touch this file is to restore this line back in the file $fileName = "css/theme-custom.css"; which is meant only for users that previously used the tool so I can restore their config file back to original state.
The tool is now using the theme-custom.css with omv clear cache which means no more manual clear cache or omv-firstaid
The final idea is update the tool / use the ui plugin which comes with the latest version of omv-theme

Hi Virgil,
First of all I want to say I appreciate your work. I just wanted to say that such problems can happen.
I have tested the OMV-Theme changer since the first versions and every time I updated to the latest version. Last time I made a restore to the default version of OMV theme and it happened what I described above.
I always wanted an easy way to change the theme or at least the colors to make it easier to distinguish between the servers I have.
So I'm looking forward to the OMV-Theme plugin!Best regards,
Geo
