    • Kernel panic after latest round of updates - 4.1.19-1

      Hi all,

I've updated my OMV server and I'm now getting random kernel panics with the error "Kernel panic - not syncing: Timeout: Not all cpus entered broadcast exception handler". It's seems to be very intermittent and happens regardless whether there's a load on the system or not.

It's been about 2 months since I last done a full update. I noticed the kernel received a version bump along with a microcode update for my CPU. I've tried previous versions of the kernel using grub during boot, and it's still happening. Wonder if it could be the microcode update? It's an old CPU.

      Server details:
      Intel Core i5 M580
      Current kernel version: 4.19.0-0.bpo2-amd64
      OMV Version: 4.1.19-1

A few forums mention it could be a power issue. Which I've ruled out as I replaced the PSU less than 6 months ago. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

      Thanks :)
