OMV Install on Intel RAID Drivers

  • Hi,

We are trying to install OMV on NAS that is no longer supported by the supplier but is still good. OpenMediaVault looks like a good solution however installation is proving trick at the moment as the sytem drive is mirrored using a Intel RAID for backup. However when installing the ISO for OMV I'm unable to see the system drives due to the drivers not being installed. Trying the same process with a debian 9 "stretch" works without issue.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Would there be a way to include the drivers in the OMV build?

    Many thanks

    SB

Including the model of the NAS might help.

The OMV iso should be using the same kernel that the Debian 9 stretch iso uses. That said, installing Debian 9 first and OMV on top of that is perfectly fine as well.
