Posix permissions and omv

  • In the world of posix conformity, permissions are typically defined by user/group/all

In omv when setting permissions on a share the reference is administrator/user/others.

For clarity, does 'administrator' line up with 'user', 'user' with 'group', and 'others' with 'all'? It is a bit confusing and am just assuming that this is the case however I have been bit in the 'ass'uming before. :S

    Administrator is user or owner.

user is actually users and is group. It is named this because every user you create is in the group users.

    others is all or world.
