it says its running but i still cant start a scheduled scan. (tried it w/ the webGUI)

I came across an privileges problem while testing this issue. I've opened a PR for discussion: https://github.com/openmediavault/openmediavault/pull/381
-
oh i see. you have that issue marked as a bug. so what can i do right now? manually run clamav using the terminal?
-
As told in the github pull request you have to set the privileges for the clamav user or group for every shared folder that is scanned by clamav.
-
ok so looks like its working. however i get this error on some files. http://pasteall.org/pic/0be1411adab4eee3279c2207d1461240

Did some more research... Closed PR because it is NOT necessary to adapt the privileges for clamdscan. It seems ClamAV requires some time to settle up after a scan job has been created and the configuration has been applied. After 30 seconds or so i was able to scan a shared folder as expected.

It seems you have too less memory to allow ClamAV to perform the scan.
-
looks like you are right. i just monitored cpu usage levels while it was scanning a few files. it was almost 99 % . n=and the nas was notably performing slow. so i have decided to ditch this whole clamav thing. what i think im gonna do is to schedule a scan every month using my PC's own antivirus software.
tho, thanks for your time and you commitment to this thread.
