Cannot check for updates?

    When trying to Check for updates on my OMV 3.0.99 install I get this error message:

    Search for 'Failed to fetch http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/dists/jessie-backports' site:openmediavault.org and read through the posts from last two months. Your OMV version is EOL since last year and in the meantime upstream Debian repos have moved. You need to fix the sources.list and then upgrade to OMV4 as outlined in all the various threads you'll find covering your issue.

    Is it possible to fix the sources.list and just be able to update things like Plex? Without upgrading to 4.0?
    I think I will face many issues, as I have many Dockers and customizations.

    Sure, it's the same 1st step also necessary for an OMV4 upgrade in your situation. Why do you think using Docker would be a problem with OMV4?


    Debian 8 (Jessie) on which OMV3 is based is definitely EOL in one year. At least then you should really think about an upgrade.

    Yes, I will ofcourse update to OMV4 soon, but I have many customizations, not only Dockers.

    So there is at least one source file referencing http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/dists/jessie-backports and wrt Plex a hash mismatch is mentioned (No idea, used Plex Media Server maybe 3 years ago the last time).
