ARM equivalent for Cloud Commander ?

  • Hi All

    Using RPi 3B+ and OMV4

Recently loaded Docker and Cloud Commander.

After hours of struggling, the guru's educated me to understand the x86 apps, like Cloud Commander, are designed to run on x86 systems and not ARM systems.

Googled a load but can't find a decent list of what apps can be used in Docker containers, and what they actually do. Many of the app names give little hint of what they actually do.

Anyone able to suggest decent ARM apps that would work like a file explorer ?

What are you trying to do? If you're looking at local LAN use, have you looked at WinSCP? It has a Windows Explorer "like" interface for viewing files, folders, permissions, etc. Install it on a Windows client and use it to SSH into your R-PI. (As a personal preference, I use the Explorer interface for viewing the remote file system only.)

Docker Hub is a good place to search for images, but you'd need to know the package you want to install in advance.
As you look over a searched list, you'll see tags (at the bottom of entries). Some of them will contain ARM, ARM64, etc. Those are the Docker images that may work for you.
