VPN connection to another server

hello all. I would like to ask if anyone has connected OMV to an external VPN server giving OMV access to another network. I would like to connect to another Network (which runs a VPN server) so I can then pull backup data via rsync from internal machines inside that network to OMV. Has anyone got experience with that?
(It works well with Synology NAS)

All you have to do is install the OpenVPN plugin in OMV. The GUI only gives you OVPN server options, so in order to use the OVPN client you need to do a few simple steps:

- download a ovpn.conf file from your desired vpn server and place it in the folder mentioned below

• On OMV re-boot, openvpn will automatically connect every OpenVPN client that has a conf file in folder /etc/openvpn/FILENAME. conf.
