    • omg-release-upgrade --> Upgrade fails

      Hi,
i am planning to upgrade to version 4.
I have the problem that I don't seem to login with my ssh user properly to get the upgrade going.

his is what I get.. Thank you in advance!
      Version: 4.1.23-1 (Arrakis)
      Linux 4.9.0-0.bpo.6-amd64
      3,5 GHz Intel Pentium G4560
      8 GB RAM
      Systemdisk: M.2 mit 32 GB
      RAID 5: 4x 3 TB
    • Thanks for the answer, can you please link a thread that might help me? I don't know what to search for.

I am sorry, I didn't want to run end of life. But I just didn't know that big updates don't come through the normal updater.

I Set up the machine some years ago and it operated perfectly all the time so I didn't recognize a new big version was coming out. Sorry for my English.

Login as root or use sudo

      sudo omv-release-upgrade.
For this the user must be member of the sudo group.

Damn I must be tired. I didn't even realize he wasn't root.

Of course, then he's going to have to deal with the whole upgrade from 3.0 > 4.0 fiasco.
Air Conditioners are a lot like PC's... They work great until you open Windows.

    • thanks! That got me further. Unfortunately the process ends with giving me these lines:

UPDATE: I found something on this forum:

      3.0.99 (Erasmus) Update issues

      this command seem to help.

commands seem to run further right now.

      EDIT:
The Upgrade worked, thank you so much!
