This was the missing clue.
I updated my earlier post in case people are using it - ETA for OMV 5.0 - weeks, months, quarters, 2021?

OMV should be on version 5 by the time the script is run and since it is using dpkg, it will still do the correct thing.

You're right.
But I loaded the OMV5 extras before the two apt-get, i.e. as OMV4 was running. Seemed to be safer for me in this moment only.
sorry, again i don't wanna to seems dumb, but the question is... is the version 5 released as official or not?

No it's not released officially.

I've been testing OMV5 since 45 days and works pretty well. It's since November I can't see any major fix.
Just install it if you want/need Debian 10.
Just followed the migration path from @ryecoaaron
Workd with almost no issues. For some reason, docker has been uninstalled during upgrade. After reinstalling all containers where back immediatley.
Thanks
Anything I should look out for when using Snapraid and mergerfs?
I followed the upgrade steps by ryecoaaron on post #38 of this thread. Everything seemed to work without issues, choosing the default option on every step. All my docker containers are up and running and I can access them. However when I go to the OMV Web GUI and log in I'm presented with an error:
ZitatAlles anzeigenError #0:

I've tried running steps 7-10 again as this looks like an issue with OMV Extras to me but that did not fix the issue. I also tried running omv-firstaid and clearing the web control panel cache and reconfiguring it. That also didn't fix my issue. Any one have any ideas?

Clear your browser cache.
ASAP, i can't say more.
I've a strange feeling.
OMV5 stable is skipped and we jump immediately to OMV6

I deliberately don't ask for a date. Please just give me your estimation if it's a question of weeks, months, quarters (or years ).

I started this thread with that question on July 12th, 2019. (exactly 7 months ago )
I promise to never make such jokes again.
Would any mod please close this thing? Thanks!
Would any mod please close this thing?
You want to close it three months after becoming a useful upgrade thread? That would be counterproductive.
Would any mod please close this thing? Thanks!
Why? This is a good starting point for people migrating from omv4 to omv5.
I am still using omv4. I don’t have much time at the moment. In my opinion this thread solves a lot of typical problems while migrating or directly starting with omv5.
Please don’t close this thread until omv5 is marked stable.
Thanks and regards

Followed the guide in post #38, and GUI loads just fine, and I can see that OMV-5.3.2-1 (usul) is installed, but I am getting errors running "apt-get -f install":

Nevermind, had to totally clean the system, and start over from almost scratch!
The install guide here worked after cleaning up all broken packages:
Install OMV5 on Debian 10 (Buster)
If you have issues fixing broken packages here is a good guide:
https://askubuntu.com/question…broken-packages-in-ubuntu
But be very careful! You can/will permanently remove packages, which could lead to a non-booting/broken system!
So, I am now at the configuration stage of my OMV! Will try to avoid using plugins/OMV-extras moving forward!
Docker FTW!
So, lesson learned, uninstall plugins prior to updating!
