How do I delete a "dead" container?

  • I have a "DEAD" container that will not run, and delete is unselectable.

I have a "Created" container that will not run, and can not be started.
    Please see attached images.

All was working before shutting down the box and adding an external USB attached drive.

    Thanks

Try docker container stop PLEX or docker container --force rm PLEX from command line. docker container prune might work as well.

  • @ryecoaaron your response got me in the right directions. Thank you

    root@omvT30:~# docker container kill PLEX

root@omvT30:~# docker container rm --force PLEX

    root@omvT30:~# docker container start Jackett

Thankfully I have created step by step directions to setup my PLEX container.
