ClearOS Integration; issues syncing UID/GID for NFS Sharing Coming from OMV

  • Hi everyone,
I'm tearing my hair out with this.
I'm using OMV as a file server for VMs in a Proxmox server.
At the moment I'm trying to fix permission issues on a NFS share on OMV that is mapped to ClearOS.
ClearOS has an NT4-style domain currently setup, and the idea was to have the ClearOS home and Windows shares stored on the OMV NFS share.
But at the moment, when a user tries to write files to one of the Windows shares (SMB) I've created in ClearOS (stored on the mounted OMV NFS share) they don't have permission.
I suspect this is an issue of NFSv4 mapping. ClearOS has an LDAP server that is currently running.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I've read guides that specify modifying /etc/idmapd.conf, nssswitch.conf, modprobe.d/nfs.conf, and others.
