What happened with my apt?

  • So after my hollydays i came back home and wanted to upgrade OMV. The GUI listed a bunch of updates but after trying to update via the GUI i got the "Something went wrong" window.
I then went on to try and update via console and was greeted by this:

anybody got an idea what is going on and how i fix this mess?
    helb would be appreciated :)

  • I wonder why it is still not fixed...

I just setup a new ODROID hc2 and DLed the latest image from sourgeforge and ran into the same issue.

    fix: (as root)

    Bash
    wget -O /usr/lib/python3.5/weakref.py https://raw.githubusercontent.com/python/cpython/9cd7e17640a49635d1c1f8c2989578a8fc2c1de6/Lib/weakref.py

I had to start over with etching an SD card since the unfinished dpkg -i process made my ssh logins impossible.

OOPS: seems to be still in the repos
After a dist-upgrade on my fresh install I hade to fix this again

Einmal editiert, zuletzt von DHGE () aus folgendem Grund: seems to be a problem upstream in Debian

Votdev doesn't "fix" things that aren't his to fix. It's a harmless python error. There's been multiple bug reports on this with the python devs... they've not fixed it yet (although it doesn't happen in OMV 5)

  • Thanks you two :)
    this part works againg
however now this comes up when trying to update

    Code
    zfsutils-linux : Conflicts: insserv (< 1.18) but 1.14.0-5.4+b1 is to be installed

is there anything i can do about it?

    Greetings

Remove insserv with apt-get purge insserv

you could force this via dpkg (although the error message sounds weird to me looking at the version numbers)

    No. Don't do this.

  • Yesterday I upgraded OMV to 4.1.25-1 (kernel 4.14.144) and my Odroid HC2 went crazy, it appears that the board is rebooting continuously, just staying online for about 10 minutes.

Any clues on how to fix it?

  • Remove insserv with apt-get purge insserv

    No. Don't do this.

hmm that does not seem to help:

it seems like it wants to remove the whole omv system...
    any other clues?
    greetings

zfs depends on it. I don't have zfs on most of my systems. What is the output of:

    apt-get update
    apt-cache policy zfsutils-linux
