SSH into Docker Image of OpenHab

  • Hi, I have an image of OpenHab running in a Docker and need to SSH into it to load Influx and Grafana using "sudo openhabian-config". I cant seem to ssh into the container so I'm thinking that it's not possible. Am I the wrong approach for this? is there another method to gain access for containers?? Thanks.

Let me clarify further since I can see many of you scratching your heads. So using a shellinabox console i've gone into my running docker openhab with "docker exec -it openhab2 /bin/bash" then did an "apt-get update" according to instructions at https://linoxide.com/linux-how-to/ssh-docker-container/. So now I'm at the prompt and dont have a clue what to do next, even though I know what it is I need to do.

I need to be able to run the internal program "openhabian-config". Instructions are https://www.smarthomeblog.net/…stence-grafana-dashboard/. I can also use "openhabian-config" to enable SSH access into my docker openhab.

Hopefully I explained what it is I'm trying to do a little better than before. Again, thanks.
