omv-extras repos failing, does not have Release file and SSL can't be authenticated

  • omv-update has been failing due to not getting sources properly from bintray repos from what I can tell. I have tried several things to try to fix, such as omv-aptclean, uninstalling and reinstalling omv-extras using webgui and via command line with no success to fixing the issues. Not sure where to look next or maybe others are having same issues with this repos?

N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

    any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

omv-extras uses bintray and this looks like they are having an issue with their cert. I'm not seeing this on my OMV 4.x systems. Hopefully it will clear up after waiting a while. If not, I can file an issue with their support.

  • still having the issue, been doing this all weekend. Usually how long does it take to work itself out, first time I'm experiencing this. Wanting to install docker plugin and migrate my plex to docker setup and this has been preventing me from doing so....

I don't know. never seen this issue before. Normally release file issues work out in less than an hour. I'm also not having this issue on any of my OMV 4.x boxes. I will try to drop their support an email but remember, I am using their free service...

@mondjef Are you still having this issue? Is your system behind a proxy? Support finally got back with me.
