How to clone data disk to new disk? CloneZilla, DD, other?

Hi there,

I have to replace one of my disks on the machine. The disk is not running the /, but just a simple EXT4 hd mounted.
What is the best way for me to move data to the new disk, and dont affect any of the OMV configurations, e.g SMB, poiting to the disk.

CloneZilla?'
DD?

and then just clone from internatal disk to new extertal, and then swap the disks when clone is done (maybe need to update fstab or grub)?

Or what else is preferred?

Thanks, I ended up mounting the old drives as external and copied the data over.
