I just got my OMV 5 set up and working in VB on Linux Manjaro host.
I currently use an HTPC (Linux Manjaro OS), with OMV5 installed on VB. This machine is always on.
I want to share files/create NAS, with 2 Linux, 1 Windows 7, 1 Windows 10 machine and several Android devices(phones, tablets, Android TV device)
My idea is to pass physical drive in HTPC(Manjaro host and OMV5 in VB) for NAS requirements. My idea for this, is I would have a physical backup if I want to change platforms in the future.
Is this a good idea?
OR...Should I just get a separate machine with only OMV installed to use as a NAS?
Thanks.
