Multi-partition

  • I currently have Linux Mint installed as a server. I want to move it to openmediavault to better control the share drives on the network. If I resize the current OS partition, can I install openmediavault onto the second partition for dual boot? This will allow me to move a DAM web server over without losing anything. After that is moved I can then resize the new petition to take the full space of the drive. Does this sound doable?

You can't do this with the OMV iso. You would have to install debian then OMV. I would just install OMV on a usb stick. Once you are done with the mint drive, clone the OMV install to the mint drive.
