I've been using docker via portainer in omv5 for couple of months
Least night I had to reboot the RPi4 which runs omv in raspian.
Cant remember if disk containing the the appdata was connected on restart, but regardless its connected now and all my containers have disappeared.
I don't want to have to go thru the whole set-up again if avoidale.
Any ideas please
Thanks
Franco

What do you mean by disappeared? Not visible in Portainer, or no longer running?
-
Have you tried service restart docker?

Gonna take a wild guess his containers/appdata folders are on a unionfs (or the disk wasn't connected.. that seems to be a strange thing not to know), and docker started without the filesystem mounted.
Restarting docker after the system is fully up, should get everything back to normal.

Saw a similar situation from another person who has an RPi booting up. He configured a delay before booting up docker and it worked for him.

Both. They are gone - kapute. docker ps -a shows only portainer.

Yep

unfortunately not..reason I disconnect disk with appdata is the ssd /hdd is powered by a usb3 hub which the pi tries to draw power from despite having a dedicated usb-c.
