[RESOLVED] Error after confirming config change with "Apply"

  • I get the following error and also loose additions to the ports.conf file



    Failed to execute command 'apache2ctl configtest': Action 'configtest' failed. The Apache error log may have more information.

  • Thanks, I understand that, but why change anything there.?


    Everything is still working fine except for acceptance of the changes I apparently made at some point.
    Now running 0.5.19, this upgraded fine.
    If the error is something to do with apache only, then is there perhaps an error log that would help show what's wrong ?

  • This is what I/m seeing in openmediavault-webgui_error.log in /var/log/apache2

    where is mod_fcgid located, as it looks to me something might be wrong there ?

    Unless you changed mod_fcgid, I doubt it is the problem. Without knowing what other changes you made, it is hard to help. That is why recommend making the changes from the web interface.

    You said loose changes to ports.conf. So, I thought your were changing files directly. Can you post a screenshot of your website plugin settings?

    The port base owncloud installer doesn't work with https (it says this right after download link). Use the alias based version if you want to use https


    I Changed to alias based saved the configuration and pressed "apply"....the error disappeared
