My "story" with J5005-ITX

  • Here is my story:


    OMV5
    Case: NODE 304
    MB+CPU: Asrock J5005-ITX
    MEM: 8GB Kingston
    SATA Controller: AXAGON PCES-SA2 (ASMEDIA)
    HDDs: 500GB for system + HOME partition, 3TB for media, 2x1TB for RAID (backups) - will change
    PSU: some old 300w Fortron (CAPS replaced) :)

    You tryit to boot from this adapter ?

    Here is my story:

    I'm gonna be honest, that's not much of a story. More like specs and pics.

    I have to agree with @jollyrogr.
    A story would be; "I used the Asrock J5005-ITX (with spec's) for a 100 user network server, and it worked fine!" :D


    I do like how it seems to be up out of harms way and there's nothing wrong with using an UPS.

    No, the system boots from the integrated (INTEL?) controller, as @jimmy_cr wrote.

    This should be possible, if the external PCIe SATA controller allows to boot from it.
