config.xml empty after failed saving of changes

  • Hi,
    while saving changes to the docker-extension, the web gui did not react anymore. I´ve meda a restart of the server.
    Now the webinterface is shown completely, but when trying to log in omv brings an error message:

    Code
    Fehler #0:
    OMV\Rpc\Exception: Failed to connect to socket: No such file or directory in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc:140
    Stack trace:

    #5 /var/www/openmediavault/rpc.php(45): OMV\Rpc\Proxy\Json->handle()
    #6 {main}

    I have checked the config file in /etc/openmediavault and it´s empty.. ?(

    trying to reinstall over ssh it says "Document is empty" while updating configuration database.

    I have to say, that I have used "apt-get upgrade" before making some changes in the webgui.

    Any ideas? First aid brings the same error.

    Thank you.

    There may be a config.xml.#### in /etc/openmediavault. If there is, I would restore the latest version.

  • No, unfortunately there seems to be no backup file. However all services work fine. Is ist possible to use a new default config file? Which kind of settings are beeing saved in this file?

    Possible? Yes but you won't have any of your settings.

    All OMV settings are stored in this file.
