I had created two folders, one for each of the two users I have. I set the users' passwords, but I've forgotten both of them now.
I changed them and clicked "save"; then I tried to open the two folders in Windows , but it seems not to be working.
What should I do?
Thanks

Did you log out / log in in windows. Might even be needed to reboot.
Next idea would be to check credential manager in Windows if something is stored there.

I had already checked the credential manager in Windows. Nothing in there.
Is there any safe way to regain access to those folders in which there are a few files?

As @macom has written log out / log in or a reboot are proven methods in Windows to solve a lot of strange problems. Did you have done this already?
If this doesn´t work you can connect with a SSH client e.g. WinSCP to the server and copy the files directly from the file system to another location.

A reboot won't be of any use since I've forgotten the passwords.
As the OMV admin, I was wondering if I can reset the passwords or change them. I tried it, but it didn't work. Something must have gone wrong, I guess. Thanks

You wrote that you have changed the password meanwhile. Of course the reboot may be necessary to accept the new password of the OMV share in Windows, not that one you have forgotten.

Yes, that is possible and should work.

Sorry, I should've been more precise on that.I have OMV on a Virtual machine. When I realized that there was no way for me to remember the two password, I tried to change or reset them many times but it seems it has no effect at all, I couldn't open the two users' forlders.
So, since I had a previous screenshot of the OMV VM, I just got back to that, by running the old, original situation.
I didn't want to take the risk of screwing something else.
I first want to figure out if I can fix it.

delete the shared folders on SMB
reset permision on real folders.
recreate the SMB shares.Must work.
if not, copy content (I use WinSCP) to new folder and share this new folder by SAMBA.

YES! It works.
However, when I try to create or copy-paste a file in these folders, it says that I have no permission although I'm an Administrator?Update:
I did it the hard way by deleting both. I'm going to create new ones now
Thank
