Plugins that are wanted part 3

    • Offizieller Beitrag

Here is the next poll for plugins.

These plugins were finished since the last vote:

    • calibre
    • pooling/aufs
    • git

No need to have these plugins on the list:

    • openvpn - being worked on
    • hwraidsmart - waiting on omv next major release and hardware
    • subversion - uses a lot of code from git plugin

Suggest other plugins if not on list. Revote at any time.

  • Zoneminder is difficult on debian. Best to do a virtualbox running ubuntu server and use the ppa zonminder as it really works well. Then do a pcipassthrough on the pci card.

  • How many people do you think have a CPU that does support VT-d? Which is neccessary for PCI-Passthrough.

  • hello

initially, i had a list with literally hundreds of packages to install on my new brand NAS but i should say that omg stuffed almost all my needs

    i could add
    * crashplan/backblaze (or any aws glacier package): to backup our precious datas on a remote host
    * i think it may be better than extJS: pyd.io (former Ajaxplorer)
    * box/dropbox (younited?) packages to receive our precious data from external hosts (i did not check if alternative solution exists)

    and if we were richs:
    * to add some more fun: maraschino/htpc.io (but not really necessary)
    * for the download lovers: lazy librarian, headphones, gamez
    * for backups: gvault (backuping gmail emails); baikal (backup of contacts)

I am impatient to test the calibre server, but i may test this one http://blog.slucas.fr/en/oss/calibre-opds-php-server

to manage pictures/galleries... hey not a simple story here; maybe the best is to use the integrated apache server and then a well known gallery system (copper mine, koken, ...)

thanks for all the good works you do guys

  • I've looked into to CrashPlan. It currently requires x11 forwarding and they do not have a web interface. If they get a web interface we would be on that on straight away.

I would like to see a Dropbox myself.

I think there is a Marachino plugin. Ryeco, did you test that at all?

I want to look more into dropbox. Haven't tried Marachino yet.

  • it´s almost the same like with fail2ban. The two other threads before, fail2ban got less voices. Now it will clearly win, as i predicted - IF tekkb does not manipulate the votings

So maybe in the future there are less interesting plugins in this list and more people want a rss reader. ;)

Not everyone knows how to set them up corrrectly. Plus, it is just easier to use the plugin.

NznDrone has a big dependency - mono. Maybe jhmiller has tried it??

Yeah it does. It just looks so much nicer design wise than sickbeard and seems to have more features (like it can go back and download a higher quality version when it's available).

Yep, I like a challenge but that requires too many dependencies. Maybe when OMV goes wheezy it will be possible.

Sickbeard can download better, just set archive quality to what you want to keep.
