Installing on Mac Mini

Hello!
Please forgive me as I am new to OpenMedia. I have been previously using WinHome Server 2011 on a MacMini. I want to try
OpenMedia as I feel there are more options.

My Setup:

MacMini 1.86Ghz 2GB Ram 80Gb HD (Install Drive)

I have two 2 TB External HD daisychained through FireWire. It shouldn't be a problem as not much is pulled off the hard drives at once.

Now when I attempt to install OpenMedia after installation I get a Flashing Folder with ? in it. Usually this means there is something wrong
with the boot loader. I have attempted to Refit which would allow me to boot up OpenMedia however when I install OpenMedia it does
a complete format of the drive and thus not allowing me access to the BootLoader.

Any suggestions for me to bypass this or get over this hurdle would be greatly appreciated

Install Debian Squeeze from scratch and setup the bootloader yourself. Then install OpenMediaVault via Package Repositories.

These are the steps to install OMV after you have installed debian squeeze:

Sorry to get back this old topic but i would need to install omv 3.x on an old mac mini of friend of mine.
model mac mini 2009.
will i get same error of the bootloader is fixed?

It isn't really an error. The OMV ISO just doesn't have the uefi packages on it. If you use the Debian Jessie ISO and follow the post to install OMV, it should work fine. I have installed it on my mac mini before.

Very hard to manage it with the old Mac mini ! ... Now i am on "Select CD-ROM Boot Type" (OF DEAD !) see here !

I am far to install OMV 3.x

PS : Mac mini still under SnowLeopard late 2009.

Ok I manage to get further by " debian-mac-XXX-netinst.iso" now I have :
