RAID5 w/ 2 IDE + 1 USB PROBLEM

I pulled these quotes from a post on the old forums titled: "RAID and external USB disks - RAID vanishes after reboot"

I have used this method to allow time for an external USB drive to initialize during bootup. However, I reduced the delay time to only 5 seconds to minimize boot time. My USB drive is NOT part of a RAID array so this may change the required delay time (15 seconds seems to be on the safe side).

- Trying to create a new RAID is not successful (as expected), since the two drives were no more empty - they don't appear in the "Create RAID" dialog for selection. On another try of this, one drive was still visible for selection, as far as I remember.
- This behavior is reproducible.

Personnaly, I have this problem as I have created a RAID 1 array for OMV system disk, and mdadm need a delay to be sure the disk (SATA for me) are mounted. Else, mdadm doesn't find the disks with the root partition and the system doesn't boot.
