Hi ALL
Running 3.0.25 on HP N40L. After doing a reboot due to an RSYNC problem, I'm having the following happen:
1) I loose the default route. route -n confirms the default route has gone. Under network/physical interface all of the correct settings are in there including the gateway. I also looked in /etc/network/interfaces and the correct settings are in there:
# eth0 network interface
auto eth0
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.11.2
gateway 192.168.11.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
mtu 1550
dns-nameservers 192.168.11.1 8.8.8.8
I manually have to re-enter the default route. This could ALSO be linked to problem 2....
2) After I fix the default route, i cannot resolv hostnames. From the above, the entry is in the interfaces file. If I manually add the nameserver entries into /etc/resolv.conf it works fine.....Of course when I reboot, the entry is lost.
Are these problems linked ? I'm sure this broke after one of the updates.....all of the correct numbers are in the GUI.....
